These past days, government authorities announced the reopening of various economic sectors and businesses of Québec as of May. However, the tourism industry that includes Mont Rigaud has yet to receive new instructions regarding a possible reopening. Government authorities assure us that the possibility of reopening the tourism industry is currently under discussions.
For that reason, Mont Rigaud will not reopen on May 4, 2020, as initially projected and must remain closed until further notice.
We would like to remind everyone that when the resort is closed it is STRICTLY PROHIBITED TO ACCESS THE MOUNTAIN FOR ANY TYPE OF ACTIVITY (hiking, mountain biking, climbing, etc.).
We would also like to remind all customers that had rental equipment for the 2019-2020 season to keep the equipment until further notice and that it is impossible to empty lockers of personal belongings. In addition, the spring session of the Sprockids program (mountain bike program) has been canceled.
We will keep you informed as soon as there is any updates on a possible reopening date.
Hope to see you all soon,
Mont Rigaud team
